Would love if the debug camera could get closer to ships!

One of the biggest things I was looking forward to with the debug camera was positioning the camera at about standing, or sitting height, along the hull of a ship, so that I could feel like I was standing on it, and get a real sense of scale for it in VR! Instead, the collision sphere around the camera feels like it has about a 20 foot radius!

I'm pretty sure it's not that far out because of issues with the camera's near-clipping plane, because if you go into a starport and use the camera, you can get within a couple feet of a surface of the starport before the camera starts clipping through the floor, but not the ship itself.

Are they worried that we'll see the ship textures close up and people will complain that the textures aren't infinite detail? I promise, we don't mind!

I want to "walk" around underneath the thing! or stand on top of it!

puhpuhpuhpleeeease? :D

I am guessing some ships contains spoiler related stuff inside for upcoming seasons when we'll be able to walk around onboard our ship and they don't want us to see that yet so they've made sure we can't get anywhere near clipping through/peaking inside closed areas of the ships. At least I hope so. :)

After some further inspection, it looks like not only is the clipping plane too far from the ships, but the inter-pupilary distance between the stereoscopic cameras seems to be WAY too big. If I look down at the floor, and position myself so I'm what appears to be about 6 feet from it, and then look at a ship, the couple things I can use for scale (doors, stairs that lead into the ship, pilot, appear tiiiny. This could be innacurate, but it feels, at least, a bit off
