Would mining fighters be a good addition?

So after kitting out and engineering my Krait for piracy I decided I wanted to finally build an Anaconda.

Problem is I need about 400,000,000 more credits just to A grade the core internals and I dont want to flip all the modules around in my Krait for mining. Due to this I have just been core mining with my new Conda to build up the rest.

The Conda is a little too long to do it comfortably, and the hardpoint placement is a little wonky.

It gave me the idea, why not have a Taipan fighter kitted with a seismic charge and an abrasion blaster? That way you could launch limpets from your mothership and then go about zipping around a split asteroid in an extremely fun ship to fly.

Just wondering if this has been suggested before and if you all think its an idea worth Fdev's time to implement

Or, buy a second account (they're dirt cheap on Steam until 1/2/2020) and run it on the same PC. Then you could have a sturdy fighter in your wing that could also serve as an anchor.

Yeah, the idea of mining-laser SLFs has been tossed around before, it's one I like. Utility ships.

As for your issue, just do laser mining of Painite. Medium ships are good for Core mining, since they're more maneuverable and can cover ground quickly. A big ship like the Anaconda will do great work mining the old-fashioned way.
