Would this detour ramdom ganking......

You loose insurance on your ship IF you initiate PVP combat
Not a random misfire on another
Could be a clause in the insurance contract?

Odds are this has been discussed, but my search skills are less than average......

Due to Engineering, this idea won't really get traction. As I've said in other threads, increasing the insurance cost for aggressors (high-risk pilots and ships) would do better, but money isn't a huge factor for many, as it's very easy to gain wealth.

Well, if you think about it, how many insurance companies would pay you if you intentionally rear end the cars in front of you?
Hint: ZERO

It would definitely make people think twice about wanton (non-wanted) murder, knowing they might end up sitting in a Sidewinder.

Money is devalued too far now in Elite, remove insurance for more than one Murder (where murder equals killing a clean player) so that death is the loss of the ship used for the murder.

They will just combat log the minute you drop their shields. Had a wannabe ganker do that last week.

True.. I was out scanning around J. Mem last night just to relax. You should of seen how many of these SPS
stricken tough guys just "disappeared" the moment I turned toward them. In an Eagle no less (ehem, 802m/s Eagle).

I do it for the LoLs.
