Would this ship idea be OP? Saud Kruger Fighter concept

So, going with marine animal name: Mako.
Armament: 4 small, 1 Large (It's a mini Fer de Lance!) 4 Utility
Core Internals:
PP- 5
TH- 5
FSD- 4
LS- 3
PD- 4
SNS- 3
FT- 3
Optionals:
5,4M,4,2,2,1

Speed 308 Boost 390
Pitch 35
Roll 100
Yaw 15

Hull mass, base 120T (FSD Range, stock of around 12LY)
Hull strength 198 base Shield (class 5e) 260

The Mako, I imagine as a sleek concept Aerospace fighter of limited production, made by Saud Kruger.
Aesthetically, it would have a sleek, blended design with the main fuselage having a flattened oval cross-section and pointed arch or bullet nose shape to it's nose, blending seamlessly into leading edge extensions for a strongly swept (and moderately down-swept) tail-less delta wing-body. Cockpit would be a sleek bubble canopy blister, likely heavily tinted. Engines would be a distributed array along the underside of the wing trailing edge, in the style of Guardian hybrids or the outrigger engines on the Phantom, with control surfaces acting as vectored thrust (and thus useful in space). Heat radiators would be on top side of wing, mirroring engine layout, and of the glazed form used by SK ships.
Weapon placement would have two small hardpoints flanking the cockpit blister, forward most points of deployed weaponry just visible with nomal FoV when facing forward. Second pair of small hardpoints mounted further back and slightly outboard of the fist two. Large hardpoint in a ventral pod, semi detached from the main fuselage (at least on leading edges).
A variable geometry airframe, that reacts to flight (Boosting, Blue zone, landing gear position) would be amazing as well, as seem in some of the inspirational designs below.
Meant to be agile and fast (and even more so in atmo, if ever such a thing happens) but mot particularly sturdy, this design is intended to have high burst DPS, but a smaller PD is intended to encourage mixed weapon loadouts rather than alpha striking with all weapons.

Some Inspirational designs:

Sepia fits better than the Delphinus II to be honest

Yes, but not by Saud Kruger.

Saud Kruger makes passenger liners, not fighters. Well... SK used to make passenger liners...

rep just for being a Morcheeba fan, but you have a point, I could handle it if it was made by gutamaya, they also have that sleek starfighter look.

might be a zorgon peterson design by its looks. rather tiny ship big hardpoint included, but I guess with those hard points its not even a fighter anymore. It's more like a bigger I Scout.

I’d love to see a mid-sized tender from Saud Kruger.
For those not in the know, a tender is a smaller support vessel, usually carried or towed by a yacht, used to support the larger ship, perform work outside the larger ship and taken in to ports where either slip size or water depth do not allow access for the larger ship. My Atlantis 43 is tended by a 12 foot Chris Craft Vagabond, and is super handy in places like the Florida Keys, Bermuda, the Bahamas and Jamaica where the price-per-foot for dockage is particularly steep. I’d much rather she’ll out 3.50-5.00 a foot for a 12 footer than a 45 footer, plus dockage for smaller ships is SO much easier to find, especially during peak times.

Also keep in mind, Saud Kruger was involved in the redesign of the Fer de Lance. Read the in-game description. And while the Orca and Beluga are both combat capable, showing Saud Kruger knows space travel is risky, this isn’t their design intent. Which is where a mid-sized tender would come in extremely useful.

Thats a good idea for a new optional internal. A tender bay rather than a fighter bay for explorers and cruise ships.

Core internal and hardpoint wise it would sit somewhere in between the AspX and the Vulture, but with a way lighter hull, so like your images suggest I immediately imagined some kind of heavy fighter jet, a larger version of the iCourier. The class 5 thrusters should give that ship plenty of speed (and I assume the m/s values in your post refer to the vanilla 5E ones). Before I read the flavour text I would've criticised the somewhat small PD, especially with all the power from that class 5 PP available. The FSD on the other hand may be a bit too "good" at that hull size for what we're used to from other combat ships, but on the other hand a size 3 would probably be too small either. Base shields are ok, the Courier (a special case, I know) gets the same MJ out of a 3E one, so it's more like a Vulture in that regard, it might need another (military) slot for a HRP or GSB to make up for it.

I really like the idea and the design, though I can only take educated guesses about your choices for the internals until I see how they translate to actual values for max. jump range, speed and such with a proper (engineered) combat outfit. And to answer your question, I doubt it would be OP. I'm still unsure which role it'd play in my fleet though and which weapons I would use.

Edit: A pacifier and four rails perhaps, depending on the convergence of the small HPs

that aside they need to call it ;

porpoise
Baleen
Sperm
Humpback
Beaked
Narwhal
Minke
Bowhead
Sei
Rorquais
Bryde
Balaenoptera
Bottlenose
Physeter

i would prefer a Narwhal with a horn personally

Hehe. I am still waiting for the first SLF by Saud Kruger. Has no weapons but can carry 4 passengers... :D
.

Awesome idea, would love to see that! Along with a Lakon SLFS ("Ship Launched Freight Shuttle") and a Zorgon Peterson SLM ("Ship Launched Miner")!

That one would actually be very handy. Especially in the new mining system. In my eyes, it would come with a seismic charge launcher and perhaps an abrasion blaster. Everything you want to crack the big rocks, get away quickly, then return to also take the surface deposits inside. While the mothership can stay at a safe distance.

Narwal is/was a ship type. As I recall, there were two of them. There were used as “Spaceship 1” for the Federation president, until there was some sort of mishap. These were modified Belugas as I recall.

I wanted a Beluga I could fly as an homage to Herman Melville, but calling it the Moby Richard to not wind up censored just didn’t work for me.
