Would you buy customization items for your cockpit from the store

No. I'm assuming by customize your referring to 'bling', so I voted no. I'm not against FD pedaling stuff like that, but no use for it myself. Now if you're referring to enhancements to the cockpit that give you an advantage, I'd be against FD selling pay to win items.

Just think of the possibilities - Jelly Bean air freshner, fluffy dice, a pet tribble running over the dash, oh an a zebra fur covered flight-stick and floating disco ball and light :)

If they were reasonably priced and offered no advantage over other players, absolutely. As chaseydog said, no pay to win junk.

I could see myself dropping a couple bucks for something fun in there though.

Yes, I would and I think vanity items like that are the best way for Frontier to raise money for future development. I would be not happy if they switch to a subscription model later on or if they sell ships or items that give the player an advantage.

Yes. It's usually a part of games I have no interest in, but the cockpit in E : D in Oculus is so good I would definitely like that. Also just because it supports the game. I think it's particularly well suited to E : D in fact because your cockpit is a constant part of your own game but has zero impact on anyone else's (totally against bought items that make you more powerful).

Eventually they could extend it to the whole ship when we get the expansion.

I would but I also want to see ways in game to get fluff items to show in my cockpit, like trophies or something. Stars on my wings based on how many pirates I killed and stuff like that. Cosmetic customization in other words, as much as possible. I don't care if someone will turn their ship into a Christmas tree. That's what freedom of customization means, but for variety it should be there.

Also why make so many paint jobs for starter ships and have no paint jobs available for other ships? Ther are zero paint jobs for Laykons, otpr any other ship bigger than cobra.

I'm guessing the patterns for larger ships are coming soon. They probably focused on the starter/smaller ships first because that's what most players will want day 1.

Also, I want my ship to look like a Christmas tree. Frontier needs to make that happen. :)

I don't care (currently) about ship skins, for the simple that that I can't see what I'm spending my money on. I cannot "admire" what it is that I purchased. If there were small "trinkets" that I could purchase, and maybe even customize where I want them, then yes, I would most definitely purchase stuff.
