Would you like an ED movie?

I am currently writing the screenplay to "Elite: Dangerous (Opt in/Opt out)"

Here's an excerpt from my first draft:

---------------------------------------

Captain Snowflake: Battlestations - we are under attack - prepare the ESD (Extra-Safe Drive)....& ENGAGE!

Cmdr Carebear: Engaging, Cptn!...Ooohhhh this bit always scares the willies out of me...ARGGGHHH!

Captain Snowflake: Phew! Looks like we made it, everyone...but where the hell are we, No. 1? The sensors are going haywire...

Cmdr Carebear: It looks like we've warped into another dimension <to maintain moron suspension of disbelief, use the same bull-crap that Nolan used in Interstellar or something>....wait the sensors are back online...oh no Botany Bay?...Botany BAY! we-we are in....*foreboding music rises to a crescendo, then cuts out suddenly*.....'Mobius'! *drag nails down a blackboard in a scary/annoying way*

The Captain shakes & bows his head in one disbelieving movement; the crew fall into an uneasy silence & at once, know exactly what it would feel like to be integrated into the Borg's hive-mind for a few moments, as a tsunami of shame surges through their collective psyches.

---------------------------------------

You see...that's how to do satire! [big grin]

Narrated by Yamiks of course

Opening scene, guy walking from room to room at a remote outpost trying to strike up a deal with faction leaders. Doesn't get what he's looking for, exits the room and re-enters. Asks again, suddenly he gets what he's looking for. He loads up dumbfire missiles in the cheap ship he bought, leaving his expensive Anaconda sitting in the hangar.. and off he goes to kill skimmers on the surface of a remote planet. Once he arrives there, he sees a defense vessel stuck in the ground like a flower pot. He wonders to himself "is this were Thargoids are born?" and proceeds to kill 6 skimmers per shot. Then he backs out to 351m, and moves forward again and they continue to appear. He knows at least one of the faction leaders wanted skimmers killed on another planet, a high G world, but he just kills that many here and calls it a day because, and as he's reminded via his big blue comms, they don't seem to mind.

Once he's finished his missions he thinks to himself "that 5 minute ride back to the outpost is a bit extreme" so he slams his ship into the ground until it explodes. Fortunately for him he wakes up back at the outpost in basically the exact same ship (minus his missiles). It seems the factions want even more skimmers killed.

In our next episode's teaser, our hero wants to find out who is building the skimmers because this seems like a supply/demand scam to him and he wants in on it.

Hmmm, let me think about any other video game based movie...

Yes please :D

I can see it now, Avid space adventurer departs space port heading for the deep looking for fun and wealth, jumps to a new undiscovered system, " I need fuel for the next jump commander, activating fuel scoop,"
Over heat warning, critical system damage "boom",, film over

Hi,

Frontier is making amazing cinematic trailer and I was thinking it could be awesome to get a 3D movie that is showing the amazing lore from ED in the past months.

What do you think?

It’s will be so exciting their first film can be to take one passenger to Hutton orbital that will take up over an hour of screen time staring out into space watching the counter slowly tick down till safe disengage lights up.

in case my tone is amiss, there is more storyline narrative in spot goes to school
