Would you like to fly Jameson's cobra

I've been enjoying pictures from the wreck site of Jamison's cobra and noticed that this particular model is well crafted and has what looks like a functional interior to its cockpit/flight deck and that got me thinking.

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to buy an older model cobra like this one with the one hardpoint at the front and enjoy the flight dynamics of something that is probably a now-defunct design?

I think as a community that we're all crying out for more ship varieties so I think that if FD have created the asset, it has an interior well why not go the whole hog and let us buy them at starports. I'd pay real-world cash for this to help out FD when it comes to stuff like this, though obviously not in any sort of pay to win way.

If it has split front/rear shields, and I can mount guns on all four sides, and I have Energy Bombs. Yeah, could be good :D

If so, I think a trumble infestation would be the least of one's concerns.

The answer is yes. A hopelessly outclassed vintage Cobra MKIII model as dlc access only. Why not.

Though "the whole hog" is a whole lot of additional work.

The current interior is low poly only and an actual player canopy will require more additional work than the MKIV (the canopy has a different shape).

This model has no flight dynamics, no animations, no sound design, ...
Like when we first spotted the Dolphin landing on a GC2016 stream, it was still far from being used by players.


If the team has nothing better to do ... but I'm sure they do.

No frameshift drive would probably cool off the experience pretty quick. Might be good for vintage parades round Lave though. Along with the MkII and Mk I, Boa, Moray and Constrictor.
