would you think is better if planet zoo releases the dlc packs in this order ???

I mean if Planet zoo release the animal dlc packs in this order

below are some example

They will make and release the animal in the following order

Felines ( Felidae )

Canis ( Canidae )

Hyenas ( Hyaenidae )

Bear ( Ursidae )

Mustelids Mustelidae

and etc

let say they started with Felines ( cat family ) first , then they focus on just making all the animal cat family in this felidae first ...

then they will continue to do the ( dog family )

then we will have more animal in the game...

i mean for animal dlc packs, their only focus will be on the animal itself ....

or maybe have two team....

one team focus on making the animals
another team focus on the construction object / barrier/ fences and scenery etc

i am not a computer animation expert and game expert .... i am not sure is it possible though....

Simply saying what i mean is

they focus on the cat family species and release every 2 weeks or 3 weeks ... until they finish completing the cat family species

and they continue on with the dog family and release every few weeks until they finish completing the dog family species

and carry on with other species family////

Do you mean, for instance, making all cat (Felidae) species in the world and then moving on to all canids?

No, I believe that's not plausible. It's impossible to make all living animals in the world.

yes this is what i mean

i mean for eg

making all the cat species and release it every few week and completely finish it ,

then moving on the canids and so on and so fourth

maybe not all .

maybe they can make some of the rather popular animal of every species animals

maybe for every species /family.. 5 animals that are rather popular in the animal wishlist

well it takes several months to make like 4-5 non reskin animals, so if they had to make several animals even if its all dogs or all cats it would take a long time, much longer if anything, because each one needs his own colors, his own sounds, his own fur setting, his own baby model, his own animations, sometimes animations if not reused just doing 1 animation like a laying or sleeping pose can take several hours alone, so this would never be a good idea, nor would it be able to be done in a reasonably saneful manner :p

I think releasing small dlc packs with 4-5 new fresh animals with a whole bunch of new stuff to build with is plenty fun, we don't need 20+ new animals at a time, just these little packs one by one slowly add to our game, which is lovely.

ok cool ...

so this ideas is not plausible ?

First, releasing stuff and working on stuff does not have to be in the same order. I heavily doubt, that the whole team works on a, release it , to then work on b and so on....

Even a single carpenter does not work like that.

Second, releasing this kind of animal category-DLCs in a game like this, would destroy a lot of the spirit.
It's no a train sim or shooter (gimme 1860 trains, gimme grenades)

And getting different animals related to a region or theme is also from (at least mine) customer point of view far more interessing, than getting a lot of cats at once.

Even after they do NA, Europe, Aftrica (yes it's still not "complete"), and Asia, I'd rather they move onto more specific regions or even just countries, like an India pack, or Argentina pack. Doing a pack adding twenty different cats wouldn't be the same. No actual building pieces, and behaviors won't be as unique. Take the dingo: different appearance and behavior compared to the rest of the wolves, but at the end of the day it was...still a wolf, when it could have been a more unique creature instead. This would be a pack with only dingos, essentially. A leopard is still "needed" and we don't have a small cat, but after that it won't be very interesting. There are 36-40 types of cats anyway (not counting subspecies, which can be surprisingly different from one another), I don't see this happening.

All species of wild cats and wild dogs, wild etc....and then focus only on that family group before moving on to a different family group? No offense but no thanks. I really like the mixture we're getting. Now, if after they hit all the other continents first, and then went back and did a 4-5 DLC pack of additional cats, dogs, etc that would be fine. But I'd prefer they didn't try to isolate their focus on an entire family group, nor do I think they would.

I agree with most of this thread - diversity is good and working for now. In the future I would have no objection to a pack of only cats or only dogs or only primates, but right now I think things are working pretty well.
