Nah, some here would still bitterly complain about receiving anything new or for free. After all they weren't personally consulted about the update and we all know, some here think the game revolves around them and them alone.

This is basically what happened a couple of years ago. Massive update introduced just before Christmas. Lots of new things added meant lots of bugs and issues, but it was Christmas and Frontier had shut down until after New Years.

That was not good PR for them, so I doubt they'll ever do that again.
