Hello Jens, in the Ideas and Feedback a number of users have also contributed to give ideas regarding Decos and while we love that you managed to take time away from macro and micro managing all cases (I can understand that while it may seem easy, we gamers are a hard bunch to please as we always crave more content and sometimes we forget, this isn't an easy job) we would love to see a road map for content that you can and are legally able to tease as a company, I hear something that might appear on the 13th during the games like a trailer for a small movie called JW Dominion IDK.
We know Dominion is still months away if all systems are go but we would love things like:
-more enclosure markers: the JP themed ones are fantastic but given with the addition of more dinos than those of the original park including that Spino in the Aviary sign we are still missing things such Lagoon signs and let us not mention the complete absence of markers in the JW and DFW eras, maybe JW can have solar powered holographic projectors (so that they don't make a charge in the Power needs) and DFW have the signs US Agencies use on National Parks;
-lagoon décor: we recover corals and more pertaining to the prehistoric era (even shark and crocodiles fossils) when dinos roamed and ok, we also get Cenozoic fossils and then crabs but, Lagoons feel empty. We must have a combined 1M DNA strands on Kelp alone from searching for T-Rex DNA so we could possibly already get access to plant life to make Mosa more happy. Caves systems is a must, the smaller reptiles don't have a place to hide from their bigger relatives and either get bullied or eaten, a sunken ship would work as well and can influence the attractiveness to different guest types: Adventure prefers sunken ships, Nature prefers caves while Luxury prefer underwater viewing domes and General likes everything.
This isn't to say the regular attractiveness would be like the stores modules (although that can be how they are implemented automatically in the center bottom of the lagoons, like upgrades and thus saving the time and effort with how much we would be messing with this system yes....) but rather that you will see more of one type of guest being drawn to the parks thanks to the modules. Have each lagoon have an upgrade slot and each one can hold a variety of modules: a sunken ship or viewing dome or cave, mixture of corals and kelps or one or the other. Lagoons that are big enough can have multiple ecosystems of plant life on the bottom and they won't affect the Open Space needs. So imagine you have 6 lagoons together: each one can alternate between, a ship, cave, viewing domes or a bottom full of coral, undersea plants and rocks.
Now, depending on creatures plans, things like Dino era Octopus and Squids (which could both grow to huge sizes) and schools of sharks (which there was one who competed with the Mosasaurs and Pliosaurus for dominance) can also use those caves and ships as refuge giving our small sea creatures little place to hide. The US also had a big gator boy that also went to Dino era seas when fully grown, and who was used to create the Indominus Rex, and hunted on land so a type of shallower lagoons can help gives us river systems or, allow us to lower the terrain under the water system we place or find in maps (to a lesser degree than normally) to have creatures like Spinos swim and come face to face with Sarcosuchus (Africa) and Deinosuchus (USA) even better, when dinos go to have a drink now they need to be careful of the logs with eyes and guests on kayaks will run the risk of disappearing beneath the rivers if we have those type of park managers around.
JW had planned to have a submarine running in a monorail system (connected to monorail stations which translates to transportation rating) but the movie scrapped those plans.
I apologize for intruding and while most of the lagoon recommendations were new creatures, I also added them in a way that they added to the OP Thread: Guest comfort needs in new ways.
