wow bug destroyed my type 7!

i seriously have no more incentive to play, i understand if i get my ship destroyed by my own, such as running into a wall, accidental boost, being killed ect. but if i exit hyper space to go into a station, im sure its not normal to arrive at inside the wall of the station and explode.
i really love this game, but now i have not a single incentive to play. i mean i lost it to a bug, how do i know this wont happen again. i worked more than two weeks for hours to get to my type 7 and got it destroyed by a bug.

and yes i know i was riding dirty with no insurance but that was a responsibility i am willing to take, but i got it destroyed by a bug, and this isnt beta anymore.

eh im burned out. ill see you guys at the expansions like ship interiors, planetary landings ect.
have fun. happy holidays and happy new years.

Just file a bug report, they'll fix the issue.

I finally had a close call like that tonight in my Asp, came out inside the outer framework of a large station... thankfully not touching any of the braces... but certainly woke me up to this. First time since I've been playing (since beta). Tempting to drop out 200k or so away sheesh.

Drop out of sc as soon as it says safe disengage (1000 Mm) rather than dropping out within 100Mm ... this is not a bug, it's a delibeate design decision.

AKA, you're being daft and you paid the price.

Yesterday I came out of SC "8 km" from an Orbis station. However, that was 8 km from the entrance. It looked as if I went right through the wheel and ended up right alongside the spire. I was congratulating myself on my obvious quality piloting skills before I realized how close I came to vapourising myself.

Edit: I think that Erbal has it right.

wow, yeah i just got to a type 7 after being a beta player. playing for hundreds of hours and you think i wouldnt know the difference between a bug and late disengage? its really hard to do a late disengage.
seriously think before you say stuff.

as it has been mentioned in other threads on this particular issue if you approach a station with the planet in your back you drop out in front of it, more or less facing the entrance portal. this does avoid approaching from the rear and risking this particular bug.

oh and speaking of thinking, personally i think this here is the most Under-used feature FD has developed so far :p

still, have some rep for the positive attitude overall, OP, as it has been suggested, do open a ticket, i think chances should be rather good to get re-inbursed on this

In what universe is clipping into a wall NOT a bug? Are you nuts? That shouldn't happen. Ever.

yeah it wasnt even a crash into the wall at all, i arrived in the wall. and at the edge of my screen i saw the inside of the station ..

The ONLY time this has EVER happened to me since beta is when I have tried to be 'clever' by dropping out late. It has NEVER happened while using the game as intended.

I would also think that since you just got to a type 7 and playing hundreds of hours you would know better than to fly commando, so asking about something else you should know is understandable I think.

You can take your -ve rep and shove it!
The game tells you that it's "safe" as long as you're within 1000km and flying at low speeds. If it wasn't a bug then there would be a well-defined safe zone for disengaging and not some arbitrary "here but not there" system.

'Safe' is between 1000km and about 300km ... anywhere outside that is unsafe, within 300km and you're looking at coming out inside the station.

Really? Because I stop within 100km all the time and I' ve never teleported into a wall.
