Didnt Klingon GET cloak tech from romulans in exchange for some cruiser tech?
While im sure both developed diferently since then, basis for tech and general operation principles are the same.

Well, I'm probably not supposed to discuss this, but the primary difference is in the size of the hammers used to calibrate them.

I actually kinda hope to see a cloaking device in Elite, to be honest. Downsides of it that you won't be able to fire and you can't cloak forever. Would be a really good tactic for ambushing enemies. Highly possible too since it can fit in the Thargoid Lore as they are an advanced technological race, as well as the Guardians.

Well, silent running is kinda cloaking. Cloaking a ship visually mostly doesn't make much sense. Sure, dogfighting and all, but imagine the PvP forum burning after release. I mean, even more than usually.
