Wow - Notoriety is a joke

So ye.. i'm level 1 notoriety after trying to complete one of the 'new and improved skimmer missions' (had to kill an NPC to not get blown up in my underpowered SRV.. long story anyway.. blah blah)..

So ye - I have 12% hull left on my python after tryin to kill like 6 skimmers i think (thanks FD)... have been docked for literally 12 hours since i kept my game logged in to lose this sh*t. Cant use outfitting. Cant pay off fine blah blah.

Now i log in today to start playin again.. and guess what - STILL 1 NOTORIETY!! STILL 12% HULL. STILL CANT PAY OFF BOUNTY. STILL CANT USE OUTFITTING REPAIR ETC.

Sorry.. but.. WHAT A FKIN JOKE!

Are these guys serious or what?

AND THAT'S LEVEL 1. GOD HELP ME IF I EVER GET LEVEL 5 NOTORIETY. I GUESS ILL JUST GO FLYIN AROUND FOR 10 HOURS ON 12% HULL. RIGHT? RIGHT...?????!!!!

Cmon FDev. Get real. Grow some brainz. Sort your game out .

And ye - for those of you who dont realise yet.. you cant lose notoriety by stayin logged in. You actually have to FLY AROUND. rofl.

When the patch dropped i got up to 7 noteriety. I have been logged in and docked ever since and it does not take 2 hours. So far its been 4 days. Still at 4 noteriety. It does go down while docked. It goes down while robbing people. But it takes way longer then 2 hours per point. Its not consistent. I have been to several anarchy systems and I can buy limpets but i can not access outfitting.

If I recall correctly, Notoriety doesn't decay while docked. Could be wrong though. Have been before will be again...

It goes down while docked. But its not consistent. I have seen it go down while I am docked. I even said that in the quote you chose to include. But it doesn't go down 1 every 2 hours. In the past 4 days I have been logged in at all times minus maybe 8 hours a day. When I play other games and sleep, and it has gone down 3 points. I can also not use the outfitting services in anarchy systems.

no matter what level of notoriety you have both repairs and advanced maintenance are still available to you.
If you have other ships you can switch into them to continue to do other things in the game while you wait for the notoriety level of the hot ship to depreciate.
And you are not really going to see the level change unless you visit an interstellar and check on it.
It does seem that if the level is greater than 1 that there is a factor involved..not quite sure what that is yet, still experimenting, I was at level 7, now at level 6, 24 hours(game play time) later...
It really seems no different(slightly better actually) than it was before the change in that I estimate I will be back at level 0 after 10.6 more days, that being a factor of 2, in other words, 2 to the power of the notoriety level. In my case at level 7, that = 256 hours
Other than the wait, it causes me little grief as I can still use refuel, repair and advanced maintenance and I can still change into any other ship if I want to.

The entire scenario may differ due to various circumstances from player to player, but regarding outfitting and all other services, anarchy stations are my preferred places to be whilst this is happening, to them I am just another ship and everything is fine except for outfitting on that ship only.
