PvP Wow! open is a murder fest - Yeah Nah!

So open is this great big murder fest that everyone freaks out about and whine about how much they all get killed every five seconds....


In the local lingo - YEAH NAH!

Honestly I've refrained from getting into PvP in ED as some of the stuff that is being spruked is pretty off putting (I've been an EvE PvP'er for over a decade before come to ED so I have think skin) but the call was too much.
So I went out and engineered my murderbrick (Keelback of course) and started looking for people (no not PvP hub and those types as that's not my thing) and after hunting around the CG for hours I've come to the conclusion that the amount of wine generated about PvP is seriously out of proportion......
The only fights I had are with friends etc, are people really that scared of my little KB?!?!?

So yeah. no sympathy for the whiners from me from now on. Not that I cared that much just felt the need to comment on my observations thats all. :)

So the thread was moved to the lounge where threads go to die..... ah well..... RIP thread you were a waste at the best of times :(

Pity as it's not a PvP thread but more of a perception awareness thread... ah well...

OP - Do you want to know why people in this fórums Will never believe you? Because all the complaints come from people who NEVER play in open or just died ONCE in open and never came back again, so they just imagine how bad open is and believe it.


I was an EVE player for 14 years and I find all the complaints concerning PvP in this game absolutely ridiculous too. All complaints but those refering the lack of combat in all the faces of this game, specially between players for role playing reasons like it is in absolutely all games I know.
The amazing and exciting combats you will see in ED are in the trailers. Nowhere else.

Welcome to the dissapointment.

PS: PvP community have been always absolutely marginalized by players and Frontier itself. Now you are aware of it too.
Someday Frontier will find out how unfair their behaviour is to these kind of players.

And there I was thinking that I was being avoided cos I was flying heavily armed Chieftains, FASes, etc. :) I keep meaning to build a warca for trolling people. Interdict my poor little Orca....and get a plasma and rail surprise. :)

P.S. Likewise, I have gone looking to get ganked and failed.

I would have thought my Keelback would look like an easy target given how many people 'know' how bad they are..... you know, by all the filthy murder hobos that are swarming all over the place!!

True, PvP-murderers (or wannabes) basically don't exist. Very often I would like to be attacked by a serious opponent (aka player) to get some action, but nobody's coming :(

Yeah i'm on Ps4 and initially avoided open (mainly because at the start it was buggy as hell and the connection kept dropping) but since the various updates I now always go into Open - been doing this weeks CG's - a few other cmdr's out there but the only attempts at interdiction came from NPC's

Yes, indeed. That reminds me of when I was at school. The bullies were always the ones to whine and complain about how they were wronged - "But, sir! But siiiiiiiiirrr...."

Some of you seem to have a funny idea of what is a whine thread... here's a tip this isn't it :p

It's merely an observation about the amount of whine that is happening about something that is nearly non existent in my experience.

They do say that what you read into things is a reflection on your own mental state...
