Ships Wow, ship of turbo shooty death!

Made a bit of money so I figured I'd splash out on the Vulture.
Replaced the class 2 turreted beam laser with a second class 3 gimballed beam, so now the Vulture has a pair of class 3 gimballed beams.

It heats up very quick, but bloody hell, if you're in the crosshairs you won't have time to take advantage of that. I managed to kill a Novice Imp Courier in two shots, and a Dangerous Imp Courier in three :D.

What fits work particularly well for you? :D

I use a laser on one and a multicannon on the other. Used to use twin pulses though. It could keep firing pretty much for ever.

Twin pulses on mine. It's a decent ship in a pinch. Only one in my fleet with a warrant scanner. Pulses are G5 rapid fire.

I used to use twins beams like you, then twin pulses, twin plasmas is fun, twin multi-cannons with grade 5 over charged and incendiary and corrosive specials is probably the way to go these days.

I use twin fixed focused pulses on my Vulture.

Vultures are a great ship to learn how to use fixed weapons. Though I do find it takes me longer to kill an Eagle than an Anaconda.

double PA, or beam + MC :)

rarely fly it tthese days, eagle, DBS, cobra + courier are too much fun, and FDL is too good!

I'm playing around with some config son mine now. Here she is with just pulses:

I tried the one laser / one multicannon build.....had to change to 2 burst lasers though after forgetting (too many times) to switch fire groups and strafing some poor innocent instead of scanning them.....getting chased by half a dozen fed vipers isn't fun

One Fixed Laser and one Gimballed MC for me. I always set up my scanners etc on a separate fire group so I can't attack if I'm scanning etc.

I feel the 'conclusive answer' you're looking for is to have a fat Beam on 1 side and an even Fatter (&longer!) Multi Cannon on the other - i have them both on the same fire group, but also another for the MC soloing, because i'm pretty trigger happy in my ship of turbo shooty death! so when things get hot its nice to still be able to blatter hot lead at the flailing Python - oh i Do Enjoy those Death throws! :) .

Carry on Blazing, you Vultures!

I made a beam/pulse Vulture that on good power settings can recharge the beam while still continuously firing the pulse. Kinetics are fun and I like them for lots of things, but for my Vulture I wanted something I could take out alldayerryday for CZs rather than a sortie-based ride.

I have two setups the Dual Pulse (both G5 Overcharged) and the other Beam with MC (Both G5 Overcharged). My ship is all G5 engineered, but even with that, my pulses actually get me into overheating issues a hell of a lot more than my Beam/MC.

So with my build and G5 rolls on everything in my ship, Beam/MC is the only viable solution right now for me until I can see if I can god roll a Charge Enhanced Power Dist, right now my G5 roll is great, but there's just that little bit better it could be if I want to spend about 10 or 15 rolls to see if I can improve it to get my weapon charge up faster for the Pusle lasers to be viable...
