There was this guy, I know, because I saw it!

It seems if you misjudge your high-speed turn and bank when entering the letterbox, you can actually get STUCK in the toaster cage! Can you believe that! And then, after a lot of thrusting, banking, and twisting, you can finally get out. Wow, was that noisy from what I heard. Oh, and it it can easily do 30% hull damage to a kicked up Cobra with good shields. At least that's what it looked like to me. Looked painful, yes sir it did.

not sure that's as much of a glitch, as the pilot just got wedged in between the rungs in the bread rack. I've had it happen to me a few times when I first started out. Its a bit nerve racking.

happened to me back in beta, because i got clipped by an npc as i was trying to leave station.
couldn't unwedge myself before i went boom. -.-

After being stuck in the cage, I was finally able to to twist, bank, after-burn, and eventually, it seemed like the cage sort of pooped me out. How embarrassing.

That happens when you have illegal cargo and panic boost in the wrong direction. Ironically, it seems to break LOS with the security vessels so it bailed me out :)

That's not really a glitch. Just be glad you unstuck yourself before the station personnel decided to blow you to bits! :)

When Elite became V1.0, I was really looking fwd to finally getting out there again but in a space where we will start to see more real people.
That was short loved. I was inside one of those 'cube with the corners cut off' octahedron starports and launched off the pad. Heading towards the letterbox I see a BIG npc ship stopped in the doorway.
I thought 'hehe, he's for it now. I`ll wait here.'. Nothing was happening. No destruction. So I started to look for a way past in what was then an Eagle.
No chance, so I thought I`d better back off now as I don't want to get into trouble myself. Too late. Disco lasers came out and I was toast. the big buy..... nothing.

Also sometimes when you enter those letterboxes, you can keep a fair to moderate speed up... head to the pad and STILL be warned for loitering. Don't get that one. I'm on the move, I'm heading directly for my pad... whats the problem officer ??

Got glitch stuck in the cage (was nowhere near it) and tried every trick and thruster in the book to get out only to see my newly purchased adder sent to Valhalla with a matching fine. Can't win em all...

One of my first attempts to dock let to this situation. It was beta 2.x and you got a fine for every little infraction. As I watched the counter count down in a panic mode because the fine kept increasing with only 1000cr in my starting account.

The best part is I was wedged in so close to the station that the automated defenses couldnt shoot me down. So I racked up a few more fines and then was happy the server was wiped 2 days later when every federation ship turned red and wanted to kill me. I thought the count down timers were like other games and if you stayed away long enough the fine "wore off".
