WOW !!!!

Sorry to go OT but.............Stephenson hub

is this a new space station type. I do not recognise those internals and the entrance looks new too?

as for the vulture, I have not tried it yet, I think it may be next on my list.

Cool. What's your loadout?
I have a C3 beam laser & C3 cannon on mine. (with obvious FSD, power and shield upgrades)

Gentleman's choice here, this is what I use too.

For the OP get the A rated distributor ASAP as it can run 1 C3 beam pretty much constantly and the cannon doesn't need much juice.

I took the Vulture out and in less than an hour I had 1.6 mill CR. And not even a scratch on her (remember bone stock except weapons). I cant wait till I can get her full upgraded. I was taking on Anacondas 1 on 1 and melting them down in no time.
Elite Dangerous

An A rated Cobra doesn't come close to the Vulture. The only reason the Cobra is better is top speed (and even then only if specced out for low weight) and being able to do more things than just fighting.

If fighting isn't the only thing you want to do then you're better off. Otherwise, it's trivial to equip a Vulture to dominate a Cobra in combat. But I suppose some find two hard points less fun than four and better isn't necessarily more fun.

It's not only about being better, it's also about liking it and having fun.
I love my Vulture, I also noticed yesterday night that RES became very easy to farm, with wanted Clippers and Pythons all around you end up making 2m on hour very easily./ The hardest thing for me was avoiding shooting the security forces swarming my targets.
Yet I know I will get back to a Viper at some point. Is it a better ship for combat? Nope. Do I enjoy it better: YES :)

You can't dock there. Some outposts have those bays, they have a forcefield blocking you from entering. They've been around for a while, for example:

(around 2 minute mark).

Maybe they'll get some functionality later on.

It is an outpost. Have a look around one and you will find that letterbox somewhere on the construction.
Maybe things have changed, but I wasn't able to actually get inside it when I first found them...way back when.

STEPHENSONS HUB is an outpost, you can only land on the open landing pads, not in the outpost itself, that is for Authorised personal only, ie system security.

I love the vulture for pure combat, but for community goals requiring combat it can be a pain to get there. I took mine nearly 200LY to Amlad recently and the journey was tedious because of the jump range. I will still use my Cobra in those cases and keep the vulture for closer to home.

Welcome to the club :)

For what it's worth...I find it best when running A-class power plant and distributor and pulse lasers to put both lasers on the primary fire and the KWS on secondary - that way, there's no flipping between weapon groups and you can scan your prey while you're shooting the crap out of them.

Yeah, I tried out a Vulture on the way to getting an Asp...

Me too. At least that was the intention, except I never did get the Asp. Still enjoying the Vulture far too much.

Only bit of advice I will offer is, stick to pulse lasers or only use one weapon with any significant power draw. The power limit is the only thing that stops this ship ruling the galaxy.
