Seasons greetings folks.

Okay, so I'm a writer by trade and I have an idea for a novel based in the ED universe but I was wondering what the score is regarding actually writing it.

I'm aware of the official Writing packs that were available in the Kickstarter but obvious they aren't an option any more.

Can U just write it and badge it as unofficial or can I not actually write it at all (which would be a shame)

Are there any pointers as to what is or isn't allowed?

Doesn't matter if you label it as unofficial as that doesn't stop you potentially being in breach of copyright. Best to seek approval to avoid any problems.

Rule of thumb. Papers should be signed and stamped. If you plan to do anything commercial that is.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. If you plan on selling/publishing it, you would need permission first to do it. If you are just writing it for fan fiction for the forums of whatever then it would be fine.
