Today I was horrified to learn that a video game did not have perfect astronomical data for the entire known Milky Way galaxy. I feel betrayed.

People just don't know their history, do they? VV Cephei B unexpectedly went Nova back in the year 1726. Nobody knew about it when it happened because VV Cephei is 5,000 light years away from Sol. The first explorer to arrive in VV Cephei was startled to discover that the binary system was no more. The explosion blew away a lot of the solar mass of VV Cephei A.

Okay... I don't know. The galaxy continues to evolve so anything could happen right?
