Second time this happens to me in the same season:
my car 2 driver had a "20th position or better" target, she finished 17th.
On the post-session "Driver Performance" summary, she shows as DNF with a botched "x 20th or higher" target, while at the same time you can see the bonuses are still paid out since she did actually achieve the target.
