As many of you know the X-55 throttle has extremely faulty cable system inside that wares off after a year or so of usage making the entire thing useless. But after owning X-55 throttle for some time I notice that the two way switches and especially two rotary ones that can be mapped as extra axis are very VERY convenient and are hard to replace by any other throttle thing.
I did decided to get the "big boy" toy aka Warthog HOTAS to replace entire X-55 lately but the Warthog throttle switches layout is... hard to get use too to be honest. Good thing I did not throw away my broken X-55 - it was fairly easy to literally cut off the no longer functional throttle part and leave only the switches! I didn't even had to weld any cables since the ones responsible for switches were conveniently placed. So I combined excellent with precision Warthog setup with my fav part of X-55 and its still recognized as X throttle so its programmable:
