Does anyone have a picture/reference which shows which buttons on the Saitek x52 pro is mapped to which control in the supplied layout ?
I personally have assigned hyperspace and supercruise to the precision slider, which frees up the toggle switch for anything you may like on there. scoop, lights, gear, heatsink silent running etc.
- I don't know what to do with the two rotary wheels and the precision slider for example,
- Mouse button 1 seems to behave like ALT-TAB
- Mouse "hat" is very hard to control, too bad, it could've been a great headlook input
- Too bad the MFD wheels and buttons are unmappable yet.
I still have to finish the bindings for the galaxy map.
I'm generally too lazy to take time to rebind games, but for ED its worth the little effort and the option panel is well organized enough to make the setup easy.

Hi, just got my X52 Pro yesterday so am still getting used to it, but already it's made me feel much better about buying the game - I was previousily struggling to get to grips with the game with a Wingman 3D pro and the keyboard. Side note: I'm not sure if it's the new joystick, or the 2nd version of the premium beta or a combination of the 2, but docking now feels much easier to me.
I like your idea of using the slider for supercruise/hyperspace... did you set this up using a key binding in the game and then map it using the software?
To be honest I still don't know what I am doing with the software. I did set the precision slider in the profile to the 100%, 66%, 33% bit but I don't actually have the profile active when playing ED as it causes some functions to not work as I thought it would. Instead in the ingame mapping, I select hyperspace and pushed the slider to the top, and then select supercruise and pushed the slider to the bottom.
so when in game I push all the way up for hyperspace, and then since you leave hyperspace already in supercruise I then push all the way down to exit supercruise.
