X52 help please

Just got x52 pro.
All works ok in windows.
Left yaw won't work in ed.
Works on my friends ed.
Everything else works in ed.
Start ed and just yaws left, in setup does recognise yaw right in settings but not left. Weird.
Driving me crazy.
Tried cleaning reg and uninstall everything but not sure if missed something.
Please be presice with instructions as I'm a bit thick. That's what the wife says.

Go to windows game controllers and check all axis are working correctly before proceeding.

Press windows start; type 'game controllers' into field; hit enter; double click the X52 entry.

- Did you install the drivers/software from the Saitek website? Make sure you haven't loaded any profile in the X52 Pro, just to rule out any problems with a profile file.
- I believe in ED you can select the X52 Pro in the setup controls section. Have you done that? If I remember correctly, ED detected and selected my X52 Pro automatically, but check it to be sure.
- Have you tried to reset all controls to the default values in ED?

Any more information you might have on this problem would be appreciated since it is all guessing right now. Personally I didn't have any problem getting my X52 Pro to work in ED. Just plugged it in a USB port, started ED and selected it in the controls setup page. It's weird that yours seems to be working normally in Windows, but not in ED. Have you tried other games with your X52 Pro?

Installed saitek drivers first then plugged joystick in.
Tried all settings in ed custom x52 and generic .
Before I had thrustmaster so maybe conflict with previous drivers, how do I check and get rid of them

I would just uninstall anything you can find from Thrustmaster in your "Programs and Features" list (to be found in the Control Panel).

If that doesn't work, you might want to create another thread in the "Elite: Dangerous Support " section of this forum. You might get more help there.

I found the following in another thread (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=37980) which you could try:

What you could try is to remove your custom binds and see if the problem still exists.

Controls settings are stored in custom.binds file located in
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

with the game closed rename it to something like custom.old and then restart the game. It would mean remapping the controls but at least you would see if something was wrong with your bindings. You can always then rename the file back to back to what you had.
