X52/Joystick Gremlin help, please.

I used to use Joystick Curves, but that no longer works, so I've switched to Joystick Gremlin with my X52 Pro.

The problem I have is that the Z axis (twist) has a dirty great deadzone and movement seems to be on/off like a switch. configuration with joy.cpl doesn't get me anywhere.

Does anyone know of a way that I can get rid of the deadzone and apply a curve to it, or am I just stuck?

Cheers.

No amount of software will fix defective hardware. Repair the hardware, or replace it. That's why my X36 and both X45's are put away. I never got around to repairing them.

I had a similar problem.
Carefully using contact spray cured it.
It's working fine for several months now.
