So I was playing Elite Dangerous with my X52 in heated combat when suddenly my shields went down, my cargo scoop deployed and my weapons retracted!
For awhile I thought this was just some new limpet that another player or NPC was hitting me with. Turns out it's my decade old X52!
So here's a summary of the issue. Just wondering if anyone has even come across this issue and fixed it. Couldn't find anything similar on google!
The problem is on the right side of the x axis - moving the joystick to the center right side and then pulling slowly down will trigger this effect
The effect causes the joystick position to move to the bottom right as well as the z rotation to twist full right, overriding the real joystick position and twist.
The event will also push and hold the following joystick buttons:
Numbered buttons 1 2 3 4 5 6 9 10 11 12 13 14 15
pov 2 NE
Note that the ministick off center to the right is another separate issue that was happening since I got the stick.(I just disable the ministick)

I've tried a few things to fix it. Tilting the whole stick on it's side and lightly tapping on the case seems to fix it for a few minutes, but it always comes back. I've installed the drivers and software for the x52, both the newest ones and an older one that was dated 2006. I've since removed drivers and software and while windows won't show the stick position anymore, it still works in Elite. That being said the stick issue is still there, so at this point I think it's hardware. Either hall sensor or potentiometer?
Any help you could provide would be most appreciated. I love this stick and would hate to have to replace it!
