X52 non pro Throttle Hat issue

So my throttle hat left stops working when my throttle is in certain positions. The joystick is 3 months old and only started doing this the last 2 weeks. Anyone has any suggestions?

Check it's settings (in windows, not ED) to see if it's set to 4 way or 8 way. If it's 4 way, putting it on a diagonal can make it behave unpredictably.

No its set to 4 way and it happens in windows too. To me it seems like there is some circuit issue. I'd like to open it but dare not since it would void my warranty. But in the end I guess I should sent it back.

Won't work. When I test the joystick it shows that the whole left side does not respond when the issue occurs. Which raises a question desired to be answered: Why only the left side? Why not the whole button? Am I being trolled by Saitek?

Not the cables. I took the throttle apart today and in the process I removed the detent. After the holidays and new year I will reinsert the detent and send my joystick back to my seller.

On my pro using the E button on the throttle disables the hat on the stick. You can turn this off somewhere in the X52 profile.

I just did a forum search to see if anyone else is having this issue. Did you get it resolved in the end?

My Throtttle hat stops responding on the top three positions (so up, and both diagonals) if the throttle is set anything less than 75%. I can see it happening in the control panel, and in game this equates to not being able to use my thrusters unless I'm throttled up... not good for docking/undocking.

My stick is an X52 Pro, only a few months old.
