Hardware & Technical X52 Pro crashes system, can't install software

I have had my problems before with the        X52 Pro, drivers wise mainly, and since I upgraded to W10 problems became worse. Now, after I did a format and clean re install, whenever I plug it in in the USB ports it is either not recognized or simply results immediately in BSOD. Install the software and drivers also results in BSOD.

Any help please because I can't play without it?

Are you plugging it into a USB2 or 3 port? Use a 2. Unplug it.

Download the latest Saitek drivers and plug it in when it asks. Disable the Windows USB power saving - there's a link around someplace. Will find it when am not on phone.

Thank you. It crashes on USB3 and it just won't do anything in USB2. I have downloaded the latest Saitek drivers (at least I think they are correct, it is a mess there with all the W10 beta) but as soon as I run the driver program it gives me a BSOD.

Any help would be appreciated please.

Ok - uninstall everything Saitek, and get ready to uninstall your USB chipset drivers from Device Manager. Use a PS/2 keyboard and mouse if you have them - otherwise you will lose control of your machine until you hit the power switch to restart the machine. Once it's rebooted, run windows update and bring everything up to date, then plug the X52 into a USB2 port directly on your motherboard and let us know what happens, and which driver version it pulls down.

Also, the Saitek guide said to uninstall everything in programmable support. I went there and it is in the hidden view of the device manager. Unfortunately, I was only able to uninstall two of the four categories. When I try to uninistall programmable hotkeys and programmable root the device manager completely hangs.

Any help please?

Don't uninstall anything Saitek from Device Manager. Uninstall all the Saitek software using the uninstallers - then go into Device Manager and delete your USB Host Controllers. THis will cause you to lose control of your PC as your mouse and keyboard (and everything else USB) will no longer work. Press your power button and your PC should reboot, reinstall your USB devices for you, and hopefully everything will now work.

I had no time to install anything actually. Just to be safe, when you say USB Host Controllers, you mean everything in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers menu in Device Manager?

Delete your equivalent of the marked thingies
