Hardware & Technical X52 pro jammed up

So I've had the X52pro for a couple of days and tonight it jammed (joystick).

The metal plate attached to the stick that is inside the plastic housing got caught on something, managed to free it but is now all mangled and not looking so good.

anyone else had this issue?

got it from Amazon but as they're in short supply don't know whether to send it back or keep it. :(

I think that you have to send it back. With a phone call before, to the technical service, and an explanatory letter. For an exchange

Amazon have always been excellent with me the few time's I've had to return something.

If it's knackered and you've only just bought it, go through the RMA process and replace/refund.

Got a picture?

Its basically a thin metal disc used as a dust cover to hide the innards, it moves with the stick.

When the stick was moved to topleft I think the disc must have popped up on the bottomright. So when I tried to recenter it the disc then caught on the housing and bent. I've pushed it back down and it seems free, just looks naff but can live with that as you don't really notice it when the stick is upright and you don't even look at it while in use. It'll only be an issue if it keeps doing it.

Contacted Amazon they won't replace only refund, which is a problem as I can't find anyone with stock near the price I paid (£105 delivered).

I have until 15th Sept to return it so if anyone knows of a source in stock and good price maybe you could PM me as my searches so far have drawn a blank.

thanks

Might be worth contacting Saitek.Madcatz directly, and see if they'll replace. Can't hurt to try.

FWIW, Dabs have the X52 non-pro for £90 (in stock) and the Pro for £115 (ordered on request).

You know I have a funny feeling X52 and X52pro in their current form is in the process of being discontinued. Hopefully its because Saitek are making updated versions that work better.

And mojonaut mentioned dabs X52pro. Well its no longer listed and I think its because I bought their last one. HOWEVER I am sending it back to them TODAY and its a fully functional undamaged product. I wonder if they will re-list it after confirming it works fine.

I would get it sorted rather than live with it.

Yes it has gone back to Amazon, so am back using my gamepad which tbh I find easier for docking but the Hotas was better for combat and throttle control.

It was a nice stick though, I probably won't replace after giving it a lot of thought.
