Hardware & Technical X52 Pro joystick hat replacement

Hi there, has anyone taken their x52 pro joystick apart and poked about up top there the hat switches are? I've been scouring the net for any info on replacing a broken hatswitch (the main one nearest your thumb).

I'm looking at a stick that might go for a very low price as the right movement on the main hat is flakey/broken. Just trying to get a handle on if it would be possible to fix it up.

I've got an old Saitek Cyborg USB kicking about and I can get at the hat switch on that, so it could be a source for spare parts. Or if you can just buy spare bits from a supplier, though I gather Saitek like to use oddball parts most component companies don't stock.

Any advice or guidance would be most appreciated. Without being able to take my screwdriver to it I'm struggling to decide if it's a viable fixer-upper.

Hiya, did you have any luck with this as my top left hat is beginning to suffer...
Still works at the moment but it's not providing the same feedback (reassuring resistance) it used to do.

Far to much menuing and left cycling targets :)

Either the microswitch is going or, hopefully, it's just the plastic hat itself...

Thanks, MB
