Hardware & Technical X52 Pro - Throttle problem appeared last night

Hi,

last night my throttle developed a problem that I want to get some help with.

It feels as if something inside the throttle has shifted, so that now I don't feel the indents at the top and bottom of the throttle range, and I get a click when bringing the throttle back from full. It also feels as if I can't get the throttle fully back to zero, although I haven't yet fully tested this.

Am I going to have to remove the bottom of the throttle to take a look inside ?

Any help would be much appreciated !

That looks like enough info to try it out and see if it works. Thank you.

Will have to get the correct tools this afternoon, after work :)

Ian, how long have you had it. & if you do not mind saying where did you buy it from, the interweb or a shop?

I like the option to return things for a brand new one

I bought it on the internet from a dutch based webshop. It was delivered in dec 2013 and I started using it in Premium Beta (march 2014?).

Two buttons stopped working last year and I contacted MadCatz to try to find a repair facility.
They have organised a replacement, but after two months of waiting I am still waiting for the correct stick (they sent the wrong one and do not reply to my further mails).

In the meantime the throttle has developed this problem.....which I have been able to fix by removing the detent.

I made a comment on MadCatz facebook page about the USB3.0 and driver issues. First they thanked me for my comment, but now that page is gone! To get support is like going through a labyrinth.

It seems to me MadCatz are deliberately blackballing Saitek products.
