Hi OP,

I use both too. VA is great for me but I have quite a neutral, british accent so it's quite accurate. I did learn my mappings before donning the OR though, use mcdee's awesome tool to get your bindings: http://www.mcdee.net/elite/

If you're interested I can PM you my controller and VA files when I get home from work.

Pretty much this. I have some duplication of my stick and my VAP. If my hands are occupied I can use VA as my keyboard is on an odd spot. If I'm being chatty in game I can tell VA to "Stop Listening" and use the "Computer" prefix to A, make me feel like I'm Commander Sisko and B. Get VA to do stuff.

For those of you with less than accurate performance have you watched the VA console? I have increased my required confidence so it doesn't do random things and where it doesn't recognise me added what it *thinks* I've said to the command.

VA is a great tool, I wouldn't be quick to write it off. ;)

My FAVORITE VA command, is "scan"/"scan him"/"scan for warrants". I have this and use it when I am in an all laser combat ship. Lasers are all on triger 1, and my k-warrant scanner is on trigger 2. VA holds down trigger 2 for me for 20 seconds so I don't need to hold down the trigger. I just tell my computer to scan him, and he does it for me... and I can even start attacking and moving without having to worry about holding down two triggers.

OHHH dude! I NEVER thought about that.

awesome idea. i always hate switching fire groups and then scanning via stick...ur genious!
im remoteing in to my home pc to set this up haha!

I use that for exploration too. Scan the system/scan the area ASTRA/run a scan please.. etc etc. Ship automatically charges the discovery scanner. The mind is the only limit with Voice attack, I have over 3000 commands so far

oddly enough, your .binds doesnt work with that mcdee reference card website...

i wanted to browse your x55 binds and see how that looks.

thanks though, im still going to load it up as it seems the most comprehensive/natural so far.
(hopefully there are commands for kwarrant in there like holycow)
