Hardware & Technical X55 Rhino Software exit/auto start

Just updated to the X55 Rhino and still getting the feel for it, I have to say it's a bit of a handful compared to the X52. However, there is no way that I can see to actually exit from the profile editing software, I'm not sure if this is the way it's supposed to work, but it's ing me off. On top of that it autostarts with windows 10 and even if I delete it from the CCleaner start up editor, it starts again anyway. Is it just me, or is Saitek/Mad Catz taking the low road on this one? :S

It is hard to understand what is your problem with X55 software. What do you mean by "exiting profile editing software"? Do you mean the one that allows you to program X55 or set curves? I have no idea why do you want to stop it from starting with Windows, however, have you tried simply uninstalling it?

I don't play games 24hrs a day, I use my computer for lot's of other stuf. I can actually exit out of all my other programs and I can control whether or not they autostart with Windows. The X55 software has no close or exit button that I can see and I can't stop it from autostarting with Windows, which is some thing I should have control over. Why would I need this software to autostart and use resources for no good reason and yes I know that it doesn't use much, but that's not the point. I just want control over software I put on my PC, which means getting it to shut down when I decide to do so. Does no one else have this issue? Or does no one but me mind having this software do what it pleases, it's not even that good at what it's supposed to do compared to the X52 software either.

I wonder how you were trying to disable it from starting up with Windows as I have just easily done it from Task Manger's Start-up tab.

As for your other question, I doubt that there are a lot of people who are bothered with it. E.g. I am using it to set the curves for joystick axes, as well as I am using programming for macros. And I do not want to remember that I need start one more application in order to play the game.

Programs will usually have an options or preferences selection where one could deselect "start program when windows start". In Windows 7 typing msconfig in the start search box, select the startup tab, then deselect whatever is another option. Not as clean and can cause issues if the wrong items are selected.

As for Elite Dangerous profiles are not needed with the X-55 setup in-game. Some still use them for macros, etc.

Yeah thanks for the Task Manager method, it works, I've been using CCleaner for that task and it doesn't work with that. Keeping in mind that I just got this beast and was used to the X52 Contoller and drivers I was obviously used to the ability to start the software and drivers as I wished as seperate items. It seems that I was connecting the drivers with the Software the same as it did with the X52. Obviously I can close the Softwae with the X button, bit I was expecting the drivers to exit with it. Now it seems you have to around with them to get them to strt/stop. Plus the Software for the Rhino suck balls compare to the X52... Thanks anyway, your responces were appreciated. :(

I'm a little lost with your post/issue. My X55 software only starts when my devices are plugged in, otherwise it will not start with Windows. Running Win7 so maybe something different in Win10?

Device Drivers will be loaded on Windows start (or when hardware is plugged in), AFAIK if you don't want them to load then you will need to uninstall, although I am not sure of the benefit.

With the X52, I could start the drivers separately from the software and stop either one separately too. With the X55, the drivers are permanently set to be on, no matter what. I don't like it when a program or driver takes precedence over my choices on my PC. As for unplugging both pieces of hardware and replugging them to start stop a driver, that just seems like unesesary effort. I'll make do with what I have, but thanks for the reply.
