Hey folks,
I don't think this is really a tech support question, but if so I can repost there.
Anyhow, my issue is my HOTAS is broken at the moment. It's an X55 and wires broke ... go figure. That's not the point of this post, though. That issue is well covered elsewhere. What I'd like to do, however, while I work out a solution to that, is use my "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" device for Elite. I've got it mostly handled, but ran into some weirdness with the throttle. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the throttle in exactly the same manner as on my SRV setup. That way right trigger would be for forward and left for reverse. With both triggers released, the throttle would be at 0%, with the right fully depressed, the throttle would be at 100% forward, and with the left trigger fully depressed, the throttle would be at -100% (full reverse). I can't seen to figure out a way to make this work, however, and a couple searches don't turn much up either. This seems like a waste of perfectly good analog axes, to me.
Anyone got any ideas on how to accomplish that? I'd prefer not to resort to third party drivers, since I use the device in other games just fine, but I'm open to suggestions in general.
Thanks in advance!
