XBox App on PC- Game Streaming E.D. using HOTAS is this Possible ?

Hi Guys,

I want to be able to game stream ED from XBone to my Laptop and use the T.Flight HOTAS One to control E.D. unfortunately I haven't gotten the app to recognise the HOTAS as a viable controller has anyone else succeeded and if so what's the secret ?

I've tried swithching the HOTAS between PC/XBox modes without success.

Not possible in my understanding due to a long list of things....I’ll save the rant

T Flight HOTAS One is not an Xbox one controller. It’s only a recognized usb device for Elite Dangerous.

No, you have to plug the T-Flight into the Xbox. If you're within range of the Xbox you can still fly with the stick if your missus wants to watch telly or something

did you get it working...I haven't and lynn being able to watch telly is exactly why I stream it....plugging the hotas into the laptop I get some buttons working but not all of them, with the hotas on the xbox, nothing.

Nope You need a Laptop or to move the tower PC and monitor to the same room as the Xbox... or move the Xbox to the PC location so the hotas cable will reach... you will be in the same room... as Xbox... just not using the main TV...
The Xbox on PC app is not coded to support any thing but the default HID ID of pad controllers... this also excludes Steering wheels as well on other titles as they are not pad controllers...

as you say.

that's what I came up with.
hotas stays on the xbox. usb extension needed,
wired xbox to router
extended ethernet cable to laptop cos the home wireless network is snafu.....next project I guess!

As Bongo stated, the HOTAS stays connected to the Xbox, and I use the app to stream to the laptop. This is basically using the laptop as a wireless screen for the game. This allows me access to the XBone when young one is using PS4 on main TV.

Both systems are kept in the living room connected to the TV, this allows us to better manage young ones screen time.

I use an Xbox wired controller extension cable as it has the same breakaway connector as the HOTAS. USB extension works just as well, my set up just has one less in line connector.
