Xbox: bugs and concept flaws

Hello,

it's been some days since release and I have played the game every day on Xbox Series X, until today. I think I will stop playing since there a bunch of bugs and concept flaws that decreased my fun level to nearby zero.

Bugs or whatever it needs to be called
  • Screen freezing when selecting a building. Fortunately the game can be saved and after reloading it, everything works fine.
  • When upgrading fences, Dinos get out and people get into a compound. Even worse, security rating drops massively when upgrading fences which leads to decreasing income. Until uprading is finished, I usually loose around 1-2 Mio.
  • Sometimes Dinos stop walking and freeze. I had the problem with a sick Dino. Reloading the game helps.
Concept flaws

I just finished my 6th attempt for Chaos Theory "Jurassic World" without success. Every time I try to have a big account plus (10 Mio), because there are several things happen to me and it's always about money. When having negative income and dropping below zero, there is no real way to get back to plus when you are hit very hard by a hurricane. With about 11 Mio. I was hit by 2 hurricane in short time. First hurricane dropped my income to 4 Mio., second below zero and there was nothing I could do to save money. I put buildings off work, but nothing helped. Finally I couldn't repair anything (when you can't repair your energy net, then it's over) because you can't without money and you can't take a loan. So I call it the income concept law because when you are below zero, the game is almost at its end. That's annoying when it happens the 5th time in a row and even with the knowledge of hurricane, I couldn't prevent my park from bankruptcy. What a waste of time and my fun level is near 0 now. I had a 450k plus every minute and even with this nice working park, the hurricane just put my park to an end. Finally, getting below -1 Mio, game is crashing on Xbox back to the Dashboard screen.

Other flaws are already mentioned: medical cars are a damn sh** of micro management. Would be nice to get them automated on a route like rangers.

Hope this game will work better in future but until now I don't want to waste my time with it.

Hello! Thank you for the notes. We are aware of the issues you've reported and the team is investigating them. I also wanted to comment specifically on this point here.

When you upgrade a fence, the old one is removed and the new one is built, which means there isn't a fence there anymore. That's why your security rating drops and your dinosaurs are escaping.

Thanks for responding. So the only way to upgrade fences securely is to drug the Dinos? Doing this, the park guest lower their park rate. Is there anything plannend on that? Doesn‘t seem to make sende that upgrading a fence is that kind of hustle.

If storms are wiping out $10 million I’ve gotta ask if you’re doing basic things like opening storm shelters. The only time I ever lost more than $1M was when I walked off with the game still running and literally did nothing when a storm hit.

For upgrading fencing if you don't want to tranq everything (realistically this would be mandatory irl) you can just build a second temporary fence either inside or outside your original fence and wait for that to finish construction before upgrading then delete the extra fence.

This is what I do. I build extra fencing outside the original fence, then delete the old fence when the new fence is up :)
