Xbox Kinect V2 (Xbox One) TrackIR potential?

Just had my mild brain burp for the day, reading that Xbox has cut loose Kinect V2 and released out an SDK on the world, does anyone have an insight as to whether or not this tech could be used on the PC as an alternative to TrackIR?

Seems like there may be a real opportunity for someone?

Guess all it would need is a bit of a kickstart and a sprinkling of talent

Judging that FaceTrackNoIR works fairly well (6 dof) and is free, seems like overkill. I'd like to see how PC Kinect can be combined with Oculus Rift to put your whole body in a game, instead of just your head (not necessarily for ED).

im definatly buying a Kinect v2 as soon as they get them in stock in Europe, and the price is reasonable at 150-200pounds retail...
