Xbox not ready..

Hey all! I've been playing the Xbox version for about a year now and I just wanted to get some feedback from others on if the Xbox is really ready for this game or not. I ask this because I have noticed that whenever you open galaxy maps or system maps the game sometimes freezes depending on where you are or what you're doing. (This has caused my untimely death several times) Does anyone else have any experience with this or know of anything I can do to improve the speed? Thanks!

Might be best off heading to the Xbox forum. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php/144-Xbox-One

The Xbox is about as ready as it's ever going to get, at least until Scorpio gets released.

Unfortunately, it's about as powerful as a low/mid end PC from 5 years ago, there really is only so much that optimization can do to improve that elderly processor it has.

Get little glitches with the map now and then, but not game breaking and I use maps a lot...never lost my life because of it I have to admit. Im using the latest s version which is optimised fer use on 4k screens, and its ok...not great but its ok actually. I played with pc before migrating to console and while the pc makes fer better graphics, the gameplay is near identical fer a fraction of the cost...so Im sticking with console fer a bit more yet.

Ye might be best asking this on the xbox1 subforums although as already mentioned, the next big thing will be scorpio which will up the stakes a bit more in term of performance with reportedly double the fps of current platform. Time will tell but as I dont really suffer from these hitches, not bad hitches anyway, then others would be better qualified in answering.

Speaking of Scorpio: does anyone know if it'd be possible to transfer your game progress from the XBox One to the Scorpio? By that I mean, will I need to start fresh with a Sidewinder and barely enough credits for fuel? Sure hope not.

Its just a suped up Xbox One. All games and saves will move over as if you just got another standard Xbox One.

My friends and I have very few problems. It used to be really bad, freeze all the time, horrible framerate. Theyve optimized the heck out of it since then.
Current problems are:
Loading menus is slow and sometimes locks your camera until it comes up
Transition out of shpercruise is slow
Stacked missions sometimes crash on completion
Launching fighters is slow
Courier has poor frame rate.

Everything else is good. Not the best graphics, but hey

Would be silly to buy a Scorpio, there are rumours that it's going to be rather expensive, so probably wouldn't cost much more to build a reasonable PC and then you can really enjoy the game and you're not held back by obsolete console hardware?

I'd bet cash that you can build an older generation, 60FPS, triple screen 1080p gaming PC for less than a Scorpio will hit you for :D

The mission fail bug isn't exclusive to Xbox.
Fighter deployment is stupid slow.
I thought the supercruise delay was just server lag? Same for menus.
Never noticed any framerate drops in the Courier. Haven't spent much time in one, however.

OP, i'd just get it. It has its problems, but if you don't want it on PC it's the best you're gonna get.
