I'd like to propose we attempt a group jump from the Omega nebula when we depart. I would really like to get an awesome video of a tightly packed formation of ships all jumping at the same time - it went a bit wrong on launch day with instancing issues, NPCs trying to pirate us at the beacon - and then the servers went into meltdown anyway.
Time: 27 January 3305 - my timezone is UTC so I will arrange something around 20:00, which is the official departure time. I'm not going to fix the exact jump time as it is apparent that the servers cannot cope with large numbers of players entering hyperspace at the same time! I propose we aim to gather around 20:00 and then jump a little while afterwards once we are organised. Feel free to organise events for other timezones.
Location: Omega Sector EL-Y d215, planet 2, which is 37LY from the asteroid base. Meet at the centre of the Painite hotspot (there is only one).
Target system: Omega Sector SO-Q b5-0. Viewed from the launch point this is between the planet and star, so should make for a good show. It is only 16.6LY so everyone will be able to make it.
We can use a hotspot as a meeting location. I will find somewhere suitable this afternoon.
I will probably have an Xbox party going but I think that is limited to 16, which is fewer than the number we can get in an instance, so be on Discord also as that is probably the best way to coordinate.
