Kinect: Disneyland Adventures Xbox One Sequel?

My family and I really enjoyed Kinect Disneyland Adventures. I began tracking the game ever since it was announced at E3. I am a big Disney fan and I've always wanted a game that let you explore the park. It was a day-one purchase for us. My wife's only gripe is that it captures the Disney experience a little too well and makes her miss the parks. However, we live in Florida and go twice a year so she doesn't feel bad for long. Reports show that the game has sold more than 2.1 million copies and that probably doesn't include the copies bundled with the 360 hardware.

If those numbers can be believed, a sequel should probably be in the works. Hopefully, if there is a sequel, it would be based on Magic Kingdom. It is a much bigger park so a little more daunting a task but the team at Frontier is more than up for it. Some people may think that it would be more of the same but TT Games did it with the Lego series and it has worked out well for them.

The original game may have been out too long to have DLC but there are a few things I would like to see in another version of the game.
• Park decorations based on the time of year (i.e. Jack –o-lanterns in the fall, Christmas decorations in the Winter)
• Special event days (i.e. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Star Wars Weekends)

I think these events would help add some replay value to the game. It is fun to go to the parks during these times to see the decorations. I also think that an interactive video of the actual rides would be a cool feature. It could be a reward for completing all of the requirements for a ride. You could be treated to going through the ride as if you were in the park and the Kinect could track your movement for where you want to look, hence the interactivity. This could be done through modeling and animation or a video.

I should have written this a long time ago but better late than never. Even if there are no plans for a sequel or DLC, Disneyland Adventures is a fine game and I’m glad you made it.

That's a shame a sequel is not in the works for the XBox One. What would be cool is a Disney World Adventures with the four parks - or a series of games focusing on a single park for each release.
