Xbox One update has broken HOTAS One and reset all my controls

Logged off last night with everything working normally; my Xbox then installed an update. Just logged on this morning to find that none of the HOTAS One specific controls work - only the standard controller buttons. I switched the controls back to HOTAS One but still no joy. The HOTAS specific controls are still listed as being set (i.e. throttle, rotation) - but they don't work. If I try to remap them it does not recognise the HOTAS input. Just to rub salt in it all my old controller setup had been reset too.

Can anyone else confirm this is a problem? The only thing that has changed is the Xbox OS, so right now I am blaming that.

what worked for me is to disconnect your HOTAS cable, turn off you normal controller. When the game asks to reconnect your controller, reconnect the HOTAS, and ur ready to go..

Ah thank you. Servers have just gone down for maintenance so I will try that when they come back up.
