So.....
Last night I purchased ED on steam. I've been playing since beta on xb1 and felt a bit sad that I was going to lose about 1000 hrs of in game progression. The credits are less of an issue but all my ranking, engineering etc was hard to say goodbye to.
However, after many error msgs after many attempts to start a pc account with frontier (using the same email address linked to xbox) I managed to sign into my xbox a/c on the pc.
The game booted through steam but when I started playing I had my entire xbox fleet, credits and commander available to me. Whilst testing out the game on pc the local players in my instance confirmed I was indeed in a PC group, but instead of Destructo82 my Cmdr name appeared as @XBO:2533274799128561
I have filed with frontier to change my cmdr name and asked them how exactly I have managed to do this, and why if I can switch platforms they don't offer it to others. I certainly would have moved to pc sooner knowing I wouldn't lose my hard earned cmdr profile.
Anyone else seen this before?
Thanks,
Greg.
