Xeno combat good money?

Ok so i have not bothered with xeno comabat.. like ever.

But i see that pay outs for killing flowers is 8 to 60 mill.

Now that seems good if you can kill a few in an hour or so.

In a wing of say 2 or 3 ships just how easily can one make good credit killing goids?

I have seen people brute force cyclops in seconds solo. Using missiles and shard cannons with premium ammo.
If you have 2 ships built this way but no premium could a joint alpha strike do the same. Alowing you to farm threat 5 for 8mill a pop several times an hour?

Or is a more methodical approach on a medusa or basalisk better?

Or is goid hunting still not worth it compared to say stacking pirate kill missions in a haz res?

I have a few friends to wing with that want to make big cash for a fleet carrier but want to brake up mining, with some thing else to change it up.

with practice you can solo a cyclops in 5-6 minutes with the proper gear and tactics. For more advanced variant you need skill and time. If you never try xenocombat don´t expect kill a medusa or hydra in a wing. The first times you are going to struggle even with the cyclops.
It´s endgame stuff, it´s hard but very fun! But you need to learn the basics.
If you only want the money, it´s not worth, but it´s a fun fight without the cheese tactics and pay relatively well but the pirate kill stacking is way way more lucrative.

It immensly helps if you're good with rails (gauss is meta),
and in wings it's sometimes buggy and you can't hit exerted hearts.
Also soloing anything > Basilisk is relying on synthing ammo & heatsinks.

Medusa solo is typically done without ammo synth once you’ve got your aim trained. Heat sink synths are dirt cheap.

Just to point out that this would be a quite typical time for a relatively experienced AX pilot. With the proper gear and tactics you can solo a cyclops easily below 2 mins without relying on premium synths. The fastest non-gib kill is 54s.

We will be in a wing of 2 mabe 3 or 4, so could we look to be killing cyclops in a few mins pretty consistantly? Cus 8 mill every few mins pluss moving to a new uss seems resonable money to me?

You have to search the level 5 nhss, and not always is a cyclops. AX hunting is more for the combat not the credits. At least without the missions but at this moment there are 0 AX war or missions. Don´t expect to kill it until a few tries, even in a wing, if nobody in your wing had tried AX combat.
Dont bring resistants in the shields, the thargoid damage won´t be affected by the resistances. Gauss is meta, it´s the easiest weapon to kill thargoids. Use heatsinks, if you keep your heat below 20%, the thargoid is going to miss many of the shoots. Material for sinthesis are important if you start in AX combat, ammo, heatsinks.

Humm ok from the sounds of things its not worth it. I will inform the crew to stop grinding gardian matts lol.

Thanx for the info peeps

Actually, if you pick either Krait II, Phantom, or anything else that can fly and equip x4 C2+ weapons, you can pack 4 Guardian Shards, quickly get in Clopsie's face and annihilate it. 2m cr per kill isn't bad, and no wing needed. Not works with bigger variants, though.

The worst part is looking for them and relying on NHSS RNG. However, some folks said there are AXCZs in Coalsack. No idea, haven't checked myself, but if it's true, that's pretty reliable source of Clopsies to kill in droves, along with some Scout for few extra cr.

It's a fun change of pace from fighting NPC ships if you're into combat, but I wouldn't do it for the credits. I have an AX ship parked at Artemis Lodge that I taxi out to for an evening ocassionally to switch things up, it's fun here and there. AX combat is actually pretty simple, and I find it less challenging than high threat NPC SS and Wing Assassinations FWIW.

Gibbing typically requires large shards with premium ammo.

Edit: Also, clops are now 8M a pop.

This is way outdated information. There have not been ax czs since January.

This is really sad to hear that you'll be missing out on some fun content because it's not paying kraut money per hour. Maybe get all the cash you need grinded out and come back to it? After a certain point you no longer need money.

That's not how you convince someone to do something....

Tell them the goids kidnapped their dog or something like that......

I dont realy need money. Lol my wing mates are new ish i have been coaching them when they want it. And for some reason a fleet carrier is what they aspire to. I personaly dont have much interest in such things. Thargoids i have no real beef with and the content doesnt realy inspire me to get involved. Im not againts killing them and the content isnt exactly bad i just dont realy feel the need lol

There's a raffle by the fleet carrier owners club for 5 billion credits. I can point you to their forum thread if you want.

Fair enough. So if you want a decent paying combat scenario for new wing mates, pirate massacre missions are the way to go.
