XP in Horizons count for elite+ ?

If i own Odyssey and i elect to do ship based combat missions whilst running Horizons only, does my exp gained while killing other ships count towards elite I,II,III, etc ?
My system seems to run a bit better in Horizons that Odyssey, so i would rather do ship based stuff in Horizons only...but not sure if i can get the extra elite ranks while in Horizons....

Who cares? Elite means nothing now, and it didn't mean much before. They just keep moving the goalposts. It's ridiculous.

Doubt it. None of the work I did in Horizons counted when Odyssey dropped.

meh... i like the milestones and it keeps me focused. It also adds to inara rankings which is another type of milestone. I guess to each his own.
It sucks that it doesn't (or may not) count across the two apps...
