XP seems broken

so I just noticed that all the passenger missions I ran yesterday, about 400mil worth, and what I've started running today, have all been effecting my exploration xp, not trade.
I may go elite today in exploration for making all these passenger hauls....

seems like this may have started around beta...

Sightseeing missions boost exploration rank. Bulk transport missions boost trade rank.

You want to look for the ones that say something like "45 Businessmen seek transport" if you're gunning for trade rank.

Just look at the minimum rank on the mission description. That will tell you whether it's exploration or trade by which one is listed, like Pathfinder or Tycoon for example.
