Xtra binding?

I've noticed from more than a few videos that PC players do not have to switch firegroups in order to drop chaff or heat sinks during the fight.
Yes both 1&2 slots have weapons assigned. They must have a key bind for it.

Anyway this can be done on PS4? If so how (do you do it)?

Pause menu > options > controls and then look through everything and see how you want it.

Mine is set up so that I pop chaff by pressing x+R2 and heatsink with x+L2. I also use my TouchPad corners for throttle like upper right is 100% forward, bottom right is 50%, upper left is full stop and bottom left is 75% reverse. My night vision toggles by pressing x+upper left TouchPad. Slf commands are □+R2 is attack target □+ L2 is defend etc....

I didn't know you could get sub commands for certain primaries. Out-frick'n-standing! I'll pay closer attention
