Yay 2 Kills within first hour of playing.

So there I am 45 mins after installing the game having a quick nose round the stars, and I am jumped by a wannabe pirate, assuming that someone is a new player in the game when attacking is a dangerous plan of action, well out gunned it just took it into a dogfight and hoped i could outfly him, out shoot him or if not oh well.

So after around 15 mins of fighting boom i got my first kill, big grin on my face i hyperjump to another system and booom same again a second wanna be pirate decides to try and take a chunk, guess what read above and same story, by now i am thinking yay loving it...

Short while later you guess it a 3rd shows up, well not sure what he was in but the wings were swept forward if that helps identify it. Sadly i must report that after around 20 mins +/- of knifefighting i lost this one.

But damn loving it already

i was giggling like crazy and yes thats with a pure stock as u get it when first installed.

brought back many happy memories of combat in the original elite. mind you have been in the sim scene for a long time, was on the in house beta team for falcon 4 when it first came out.

Falcon 4,

I can remember when that came out, it was a hell of a leap up in terms of sophistication from pretty much anything else in the combat sim genre (when you could get it to work!) . I see in its most recent version it is still well supported.

Good start with ED, bounty payments often have little relation to repair cost if you have a hard fight on your hands so best to choose your encounters carefully. It's 90% knife fighting though so you should be right at home after an F16!
