Newcomer / Intro yay first pvp kill

so i got bored of being in a massive universe mostly alone and remembered a system i had seen spoken about in general discussion lugh, thought it might be a good place to run into other players, be shot at shoot at them ect.

Met a cobra at the nav beacon saw him fighting with an npc decided to go help, shot the npc a bit so it was into 41% armor and left the rest for the cobra to finish, then promptly got the message along the lines of "fair warning if you shoot my bounties your fair game" or words too those effects, i replied that i thought i was helping and after a min of feeling kinda hurt that my first social experience had resulted in a backhand, i decided to power up my vipers weapons and have at the player.

after a few passes that hurt us both my viper gained the upper hand and the cobra was crippled, the message haha gg was received from the player in the cobra and after a few seconds of thought regarding his fate I decided to finish my crime and murder him.

I must say i got a nice rush out of finally fighting another player in this game, and i've got little doubt it won't be the last time and the next time will probably be a lot less in my favour, soo much to learn yet soo much fun.

I need to make my way over there. I am about 300 LY from Lave...been out on the edge exploring a crap load of unknown systems. Would be nice to meetup with some players for a little pew pew or conversation

The more the merrier mate your welcome to join in on the hunt.
On the point of very light on conversation, the comms system has been up the spout for some time now.
I have five friends online whom I just can't send any text comms to as it tells me 'message not sent can not connect to Mr X'.
this maybe why many people don't reply.
So we use team speech 3 with head-sets to communicate with each other instead.
But if someone sends me a text I always reply in a friendly manner.

So fella how are those kippers coming along?

Your first experiance was much better than mine. Someone was on the landing pad or well attempting to land on it so I shot them oops. Both them and the station police security people did not take kindly to that lol.

i have now seen the insurance screen 4 times lol.

That's what PvP and playing your character should be all about - not to mention your destruction taken in your stride.

My first PvP left me destroyed in seconds, thanks tot he good old Eagle Underpowered Power Supply of Death, back in Beta...

I earned my upgrade path very quickly after that.

Strangely I didn't get one, I know for sure I fired first, i'm guessing for the sake of not having police steal his bounties he had report crimes off, unless the bounty for killing a player is much higher than killing npcs though its chump change.

Not quite the same thing but I got into a scrap with a master npc early in the game. He burst my cockpit but I killed him so I decided ok still time to run for home and repair before sucking cold dead space into my lungs, fSD out and head for home and bamm interdicted and I couldn't avoid it as my HUD was missing. Cmdr Mocton got a real easy kill that day, I was dead within a minute
