A while back I bought a Cooler Master Hyper N520. Got this for what (at the time) was a socket AM2 processor.
This cooler has lasted me ages... From that AM2 processor to an AM3.. and now to my AM3+ processor I just bought for Christmas (to finally complete my new PC upgrades).
I recently bought an AMD FX-8350 (Black Vishera 4.0 8-core), and wondered how this cooler would work with it.. It's run my computer cool throughout it's life, but wondered how it would do on a new AM3+ processor/motherboard (got a new mobo, RAM, and cpu for Christmas to complement my GPU I bought).
Well.. it's amazing.
Currently my temps are running at 20C, but it's lowest today was 14C.
While playing PC for about an hour, it reached a max temp of 46C. The processor being rated for a Max of 90C.
I have to admit.. out of anything I've ever bought, this cooler is a great purchase. It's definitely not quiet (my computer is not quiet at all like a liquid cooled system), but it's definitely reliable and worth the $$$s I spent so long ago.
