Finally. General Green is dead and I am now a Petty Officer.
I tried this mission so many times before, sustained so much damage, had to run away and abandon it. I thought that I'd never progress beyond this stage since I simply did not have enough skill to defeat the General in his Federal Dropship. But today, after some hours honing my chops with Bounty Hunting I had another go.
I tried the reverse away and fire technique but that didn't get very far. So I thought "fack it, do or die". I just went in and went for him, kept on his six and kept on him, gritted my teeth each time he came straight at me, ignored the shield warnings, shields dropped to zero, and kept targetting his Power Supply. At just below 30% damage - POOF!
I am going to have some wine.
