Yembo community goal rewards

Anybody mind filling people in on what they are? Would be a huge help for those of us who are far from the system. I'm currently over 300ly away.

More people onboard will increase the chance of hitting a higher tier, equaling more reward for you.

for those wanting to know... they haven't been revealed yet.

There will be a progress bar on the right side of that picture, the current progress is just so small that it's not even one pixel high yet. ;)

Global rewards = Success...

I, having been conditioned by Elite to act only for myself, really need more of a carrot.

Do they give good credits for the stuff they need you to bring at least? I saw another community missions about bringing food/medic stuff and you would actually lose credits bringing the supplies making it totally useless. And the rewards are a joke lol. I guess another thing to waste time participating in the construction of a virtual thing ^^

I have to agree that the rewards are too small at this time. I took part in one of the combat community goals in the beta, which went over the fifth tier I believe, and the total awarded combat bonds were something around 25 Mio. I don't remember the exact numbers, but the reward for the C tier was something like a couple of tens of thousands, and there were somewhere over 150 participants.

All in all, the amount payed for combat bonds plus the amount for rewards should have been lower than the price of a fully kitted Anaconda. That's right, those guys got their own private army of experienced Commanders for less than the price of an Anaconda. I may be mistaken since I did not take notes on the numbers and didn't run exact calculations, but I don't think I that far off.

I think another 0 should be added at the end of the rewarded sum to even justify me traveling half the inhabited space to take place in this event.

i have to agree, it smells of being rushed and not very well thought out by the devs. Add another 0 and we might have something to do

Do they accept any kind of metals? Is it like bulleting board missions where you have to give a certain number of a certain type?

They accept any metal and demand is High for every one that's listed so you do get good profit. Station is 1000ls from the star though so it won't compete with the best routes.

The goal rewards seem tiny though, 100k for top3 commanders is 20% of one trip in a Conda or T9.

high supplies with large pads already drying up, exhausted two routes already, on third and it's 3 hops in a T7 :(
Getting ~2K/ton round trip.

Well there's already been 292000 tonnes supplied so that makes sense. :)

Just checked mine one last time and it's still 2650 cr/ton roundtrip. It has very high supply but I guess it's only a matter of time as more CMDRs show up. Still only 400 contributors out of how many thousands?

Conserning the Yembo community goal....achievable or not?

Greetings commanders,

This is my first actually post in the forums. I am an Anaconda owner, started playing when beta was out, so that makes it some time ago! I have lost a few ships (including a python) and stared over, learned the hard way the lesson of needing to keep money for the insurance.

To the point now:

I read in news that day 1 wasnt so good, and that we are far from achieving the goal.

well my experience from that...

I currently belong in the top 15%, I did a few runs and I intend to do even more...

but:

from what I saw, yembo is full of human pirates... I did have the honor to get intercepted by one of the top (if not the top) of human pirates who "terrorize" the whole of galaxy, and gave him a few tons of cargo in order :

a) not to lose time from helping out the community

b) not to lose possibly a lot of money in repairs (winning or losing, I expect that I would have taken enormous amount of damage in my hull. Damage to anaconda pays 100ks of CR.

the guy was cool and we did have a very nice talk. I will keep his name under anonymity.

From what i saw though, there were a lot of cobras and eagles and asps ready to hunt down traders with T-6s, T-7s and Imperial clippers. That DISCOURAGES ppl from working out for the common goal and that's reasonable. Why risk the T-6 and T-7 for trying to help out the community instead of just keep that 2.5k+ quiet and safe route anywayz?

Commander TheoZ.

ready to hear your thoughts on this.

100000 Cr. I make 750000 in a single one jump trade run. Why would I want to do this?

Well, the mechanic involved in this is trading, so you get trade profit plus whatever the reward ends up being. It is currently at the lowest tier. I suspect if people participate we will reach higher tiers.

I agree that the pirates probably aren't helping in terms of completing the goals, but from what I'm seeing in the forums, people are seeing the absolute bottom tier rewards and deciding that it's not worth it. I think people aren't understanding that you get trade profit PLUS the community goal rewards.

I think the community should avoid these and make sure that none of those stations are built, just to show the devs that this is a poor gameplay mechanic. It's no more exiting than "everyone bring a cup of water each, and we'll get this lake filled up".
At least they should introduce a mechanic to thwart the construction. Like a combat zone were you could kill the defenders of the station being built.

...I think people aren't understanding...

Oh, we understand all too well.

The "come and help us" post on Galnet promised generous prices for the materials that are delivered but that turned out not to be the case. I can get 1300cr per ton on gold just about anywhere in the galaxy.

The 500 credit "bonus" that most contributors will receive represents less than half the profit on a single ton of gold. Hardly an incentive to travel hundreds of light years to go and help. It's not even as if there's anything unusual to see when you get there. No construction site although I suppose that may appear if and when goal levels are achieved.

I was looking forward to helping with the new station but misread the instructions and went on the long flight to HIP 101110 before finding it empty and had to fly all the way back to civilisation before I could re-read the mission to see the mention of Yenbo. Don't finish the station without me chaps!!

Thanks for the heads up, I almost went there to check.
